About The Role

NIGHT SUPPORT WORKER – CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE - APPLE TREE BUNGALOW
 
£24,524.50 - £26,526.50 DOE

We are recruiting for Night Support Workers to join our newly-established team, at our children's care home, Apple Tree Bungalow near Lincoln LN6.

Working Hours: 7:30 PM – 7:30 AM
Shift Pattern: Fixed two-week rolling rota: Week 1 – Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday; Week 2 – Wednesday and Thursday

About the position:


As a Night Support Worker, you will be key in helping young people with complex needs. This is a challenging role, but the rewards are incomparable to any other job.  You will be working in an environment where the little things that you do every day could have life-changing results. Your ambition for the young people you support will help them take steps to fulfilling their potential.


What will you be doing:

  • Promoting the safeguarding of the young people in our care at the very heart of everything you do
  • Participating in a wide range of innovative and exciting recreational events held within the home and wider community.
  • Supporting the young people to develop their independence skills in their everyday life
  • Creating positive relationships with the young people and offering them unconditional dignity and respect.
  • Meeting the physical, emotional, behavioural and cultural needs of the young people.
  • Continually maintaining accurate and clear record keeping.
  • Working collaboratively as a team, to meet the changing needs of the young person and reflecting this within their individual records
  • Actively contributing to the development of the team. Workforce development.

About You


Desired experience and qualifications:

  • A genuine passion for care and to be motivated by contributing to the progression of others.
  • A strong team player who can also work using their own initiative
  • A resilient personality whilst understanding the strength to seek support when needed
  • Satisfactory written and oral communication skills
  • Computer literacy
  • A Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or a willingness to complete this qualification within a fixed timeframe.
  • A Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is desirable, however not essential.
  • Where you don’t hold a health and social care level 3/equivalent there is a willingness to complete a Level 3 qualification within a fixed (2-year max) timeframe which is fully funded through our quality ongoing training and development programme.
