About The Role

Position required: Assistant Educational Psychologist

Location: Lincolnshire

Salary: 

Hours: 38 hours per week

Annual Leave: 40 days per annum 

 

We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our organisation in our longstanding and experienced therapeutic team as an Assistant Educational Psychologist.

As an Assistant Educational Psychologist, you will make a key contribution to providing effective person-centred support. Our inclusive way of working aims to make sure that our individuals have a voice so that they can be actively involved in all aspects of their education, care and support.

About the role

Kisimul has a team of Assistant Educational psychologists who work under the supervision of the Educational Psychologist. This team provides support to young people who struggle to access learning. This includes understanding the impact of a person’s diagnoses/needs on their ability to learn. The work of the Educational Psychology team feeds in to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) reviews. The Educational Psychology team work closely with the multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Music therapy.

You will provide a service to the young people who attend our schools and who live in our Children’s homes near Lincoln. You will have the opportunity to build long term relationships with young people and every day you will be able to see the impact that your support has on their learning and quality of life.


About You

About you

You will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology conferring eligibility for the graduate basis for registration with the British Psychological Society.

You will have knowledge of learning disability and/or autism and associated needs. Previous experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team and within an education setting is desirable but not essential.
