As an Occupational Therapist you will make a key contribution to providing effective person-centred support within our Meaningful Life Model. This describes our inclusive way of working which aims to make sure that individuals in our care have a voice so that they can be actively involved in their education, care and support.

About the role

As an Occupational Therapist you will provide a service to the young people (aged between 8 and 19 years). You will support individuals to develop skills to enable them to actively participate in a lifestyle of their choosing. Experience (either life experience, placement experience or from previous roles) working in relevant areas (e.g. learning disability, specialist school settings, mental health settings) will be of benefit. You will demonstrate a passion for supporting people with these needs. You will be proactive in seeking advice and support for your own professional development and clinical decision making.

We are seeking a dynamic, resilient and motivated individual who can demonstrate a commitment to an evolving service and delivering effective and evidenced service initiatives. Post graduate training in sensory integration is desirable or a willingness to undertake this post graduate training is essential.
