We are looking for new members of our team to join us as Senior Life Practitioners (formerly known as senior support workers).

We are offering a unique opportunity, working alongside Lincolnshire County Council to support a young person with complex needs through the provision of therapeutically led care and education in a bespoke single occupancy setting.

Introduction to Our Home and Support Needs

I am a 13-year-old young person living in a thoughtfully developed home situated between Lincoln and Newark. Our home has been carefully designed to meet our individual needs and provide a safe, supportive, and engaging environment. I will soon be joined by a new friend, and together we will share this space as we continue to grow and thrive. Our location offers easy access to both towns, giving us regular opportunities to explore, have fun, and stay connected to the wider community.

While we enjoy a variety of activities, we require consistent and specialist support to help us develop our skills, participate in meaningful experiences, and maintain our overall wellbeing. This support will take place both within the home and in the surrounding outdoor and community environments. We have learning disabilities and associated complex needs, and we benefit from a therapeutic approach that supports communication, sensory processing, and emotional regulation.

Our daily routines and experiences are guided by a multidisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, and Music Therapists. This ensures that the support we receive is tailored to our individual needs and contributes to a rich and meaningful therapeutic lived experience.

To access new opportunities and live fulfilling lives, we need ongoing support from people who are patient, compassionate, and committed to understanding us. Building strong, trusting relationships is key to helping us feel secure and empowered to explore the world around us.

We particularly enjoy being outdoors, going swimming, listening to stories, riding the bus, and using the trampoline. With the right support, we are excited to continue exploring a variety of experiences that bring us joy, stimulation, and personal growth.
